ICSA Annual Conference Theme: Cultic Dynamics and Radicalization

The International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) is conducting its 2017 Annual International Conference jointly with Info-Secte/Info-Cult of Montreal and Société Française de Recherche et d’Analyse de l’Emprise Mentale (SFRAEM). The conference will take place in Bordeaux, France from June 29 through July 1, 2017 (preconference workshops on Wednesday June 28). The conference will address the needs and interests of ICSA’s four main constituencies: former group members, families, helping professionals, and researchers.

Spiritual Abuse: A Conference for Victims and Those Who Want to Help
When: August 5th, 2017 Where: University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth
This one-day conference, sponsored by MeadowHaven, Dartmouth Bible Church, and International Cultic Studies Association, will take place from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at The Woodlands Commons on the campus of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, which is about 60 miles south of Boston.
High-Control Groups: Helping Former Members and Families
When: November 3-5, 2017 Where: La Fonda on the Plaza, Santa Fe, New Mexico
This bi-annual conference focuses on the needs of former group members and families. It also includes a training track for mental health professionals. Conference sessions emphasize discussion so participants can address issues pertinent to their individual concerns.

Surviving and Moving On After a High-Demand Group Experience- A Workshop for Second Generation Former Members

As increasing numbers of people born or raised in cultic movements have reached adulthood, the International Cultic Studies Association has developed a program that addresses their special needs.
