Spirituality Issues

Suffering is redemptive. More than anyone I've known, I see in you and your own peculiar struggles that pain and confusion may be transformed into an occasion for compassion and wisdom.

Poetry

A Recovery Breakthrough by Ginger Zyskowski

        The tears appear.
        Again they push up
        to overflow from
        somewhere deep.......
or maybe something old but trapped,
through a crack in my stoned self
        is seeping through.....
to remind me that there is
still someplace to get to .....
        saturated with the wetness of
        someone's cries of pain.

It lets me know with the
        pressure of its efforts
        to come through,
that there is still much to be done .....
to break away the solidified peripherals
        and come bursting out
        into the light.

The soul's river is ready to flood
and the cresting is not in sight.
It's the same as the awe of the
        forces of nature .....
        Once the flow is started,
it continues until it meets its source.

All I can do is stand by
and watch the dam break .....
        Then we'll both be free.
